ABOUT

People increasingly use generative AI to create text and images, which begs the question what compelling stories does generative AI tell, especially when it portrays individuals with disabilities?

This year-long project aims to foster a knowledge exchange on generative AI and inclusion, focusing on disability. The project will create a dynamic space for co-creation and collaboration through a series of workshops, involving academic, voluntary, and industrial stakeholders. These workshops will delve into the representation of people with disabilities in generative AI, critically examining and seeking to improve inclusivity within AI models.

Simultaneously, the project seeks to lay the groundwork for a lasting and sustainable partnership between Sweden and France, focusing on AI and inclusion within educational and research agendas.

In the following three workshops we will
explore the capacity of generative AI to represent people with disabilities.

01

Generate

How does generative AI present a person with a disability? Identify prompts and compile annotated portfolios of AI-generated results.

02

Examine

Critically examine the results of Workshop 1 concerning diversity and representation of the disability community.

03

Understand

What are the data and logic behind the results of workshop 1 and how can they be more inclusive?
